Activities add Flavor and Fun

Cheila taught us how to make brownies from beans for our Relief Society Activity..  I want to remember this because it works better with chocolate...but knowing that I can't have chocolate...she made it with white chocolate!  People here are so thoughtful.

It is strange still to be the one sitting in front (I am the oldest one in our Relief Society!).  We had a good lesson about Prophet Nelson's conference talk in Relief Society yesterday wirh 2 Investigators.

It is always fun to visit Laura's family.  She makes Brasilian food and it is very good!

Our Branch President's brother is coming back to church and we are so happy for his decision.  We were the only ones who showed up on time with our Relief Society President and her counselor and were about to leave...when others began to come.  So glad we stayed.  Everyone was so kind to welcome a brother back home.

With the elders, we decided to have activities every Saturday now.  Always a spiritual part before the games begin! Two extras joined our group today...Elizabete and Laura.

Singing the mission song with the rest of our district over zoom
since they live on the island of Terceira!

We had basketballs, volleyballs

, and soccerballs going each and every direction and everyone enjoyed being together!  Watch out!

Yesterday, President Antonio Paulo (a counselor to our Mission President Barcellos), gave a great talk about Potential and Change.  He spoke about when the Portugal Temple was being built over the trash area of Lisbon...and the changes that came as it is now one of the most Beautiful spots in Portugal.  He then spoke of our lives and how we have 'divine potential' and we can change with the help of our Savior to become Beautiful as well.  We were able to visit with him after the meetings and inbetween his interviews.  We are thankful to know him.

We had a great Zone Conference over zoom on the 14th of April, but I want to add the photos here as I had so many photos in the Temple Trip that week.  We are grateful for President and Sister Barcellos and all that they do for all of the missionaries here in Portugal.  We love them very much and feel blessed to learn from them as we feel of their great love for our Savior and for all of the missionaries serving here.  At times, I put photos without details...but given time...I will go back and fill in some of the stories that we have felt behind the photos.  Love you all so much, Grandpa and Grandma
